From 24 February to 4 March we ran an outreach week assisted by a team of students from Capernwray College. Heavy snow in the second half of the week severely affected the planned schedule of activities including the cancellation of some Bible Exhibitions due to school closures and the cancellation of YSix, the Pensioners Lunch and tea at Jubilee Court. During the 10 days the students:
- Ran a charity stall for Leeds City Mission in Queen Street along with a charity Shoe Shine and the distribution of Christian Literature to shoppers.
- Led and spoke at our church services and also ran services at Birstall Community Church, Batley Pentecostal Church and Newlands Methodist Church.
- Assisted with Fountain Tots.
- Delivered 6 performances of the Amazing Journey Bible Exhibition at Seven Hill, Newlands, St Francis and Queenswood primary schools assisted by Allan Peel from the Open Air Mission.
- Visited various Coffee Mornings around the town to talk to older people.
- Delivered 1600 copies of the Day One Scripture Text Calendar to homes in Morley.
The students visited on 27 and 28 January for a planning session and were welcomed to the town by the Mayor
