The 2009 Christmas Celebration was held at 5pm on Sunday 13 December in Morley Labour Rooms, the main event of the evening was a play performed by members of YZUP!, SAS and the church looking at the journey of the wise men as they came to visit baby Jesus, this was supplemented by carols sung by members of YZUP! or the congregation. The evening concluded with supper. We also went carol singing in the Cross Hall area on Sunday 20 December and were able to give Day One Living Word calendars to the members of Morley Elderly Action and to other pensioners in the town.

In October we celebrated Harvest by looking at the history of Morley and how God’s work has developed in the town. The theme was based around the former Cross Hall Infant School building, opened in the 1880’s and due to close permanently in November. This building has been the home of the church since our formation in the year 2000. The service was supported by the Morley Elderly Action craft group who knitted scarves to be given to the New Hope project in Leeds who are working with people suffering from addiction to alcohol and drugs. The service was followed by a Harvest supper.
