From 24 February to 4 March we will be running an outreach week assisted by a team of students from Capernwray College.
Activities will include
- The Amazing Acts Bible Exhibition in local schools assisted by John Hawley from the Open Air Mission
- An After School Club at Fountain Primary School (3.30-5 pm Tuesday 28 Feb to Friday 2 March) for KS2 children. All welcome.
- Street evangelism in Queen Street
- Pensioners Lunch (Sat 3 March from 11.30 am in the Labour Rooms)
- Visits to various residential care homes in the town
- The team will aso be leading our Sunday worship on 25 Feb and 4 March.
The students, who are from USA, Canada and Denmark, visited for a planning weekend on 28 and 29 January.


Feb 06
From 25 February to 6 March a team of students from Capernwray College helped us run a range of outreach activities including:
- Giving out Christian literature in Morley Town Centre and the area surrounding the church.
- ‘Life of Christ’ Bible Exhibition in the local primary schools with the help of John Hawley from the Open Air Mission. Every child who attended was given a copy of the ‘Jesus Quest’ DVD.
- After School children’s club at Fountain Primary School.
- Visits to the various elderly people’s coffee mornings around the town and running a ‘Pensioners Lunch’.
- Running special events for the YZUP! youth club.
- The team also helped with services in our own church and at local Methodist Churches.


Feb 01
A team of students from Capernwray College were with us from Friday 26 February to Sunday 7 March and we ran a programme of special activities in the town. This included:
- John Hawley from the Open Air Mission helped us run the Pilgrim’s Progress Bible Exhibition in Fountain, Victoria, Seven Hills, Asquith and Queenswood Primary Schools.
- The free distribution of nearly 2000 Day One Calendars on the streets of Morley.
- Children’s After School Club at Fountain Primary School for ages 6 – 11.
- A Pensioners Lunch hosted by the Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Judith Elliott, at the Labour Rooms.
- Sunday evening Family Night in the Labour Room.
- 500 leaflets advertising the church posted through doors in the Fountain Street area.
- The students also helped to run our church services and services at Gildersome and Newlands Methodist churches.

Mar 01
In the first week of March a team of 12 students from Capernwray College helped us with an outreach programme.

This included:
- Distributing Day One calendars and diaries on the streets of Morley.
- ‘Journey through the Bible’ Bible Exhibition, assisted by John Hawley of the Open Air Mission, in Fountain, Victoria, Asquith and Newlands Primary Schools and the Wakefield Tutorial Preparatory School.
- After school children’s club.
- Pensioners Lunch at the Morley Elderly Action premises.
- Visits to various coffee mornings around the town.

Mar 10

We had a week of intensive activities including:
- Yellow Bus parked in Morley Town Centre serving tea and coffee to shoppers.
- Amazing Acts Bible Exhibition, with Gem Hudson, run at Fountain, Asquith and Victoria Primary Schools.
- Pensioners Tea with Morley Elderly Action.
- After School Childrens Club.
- Team members attended various Coffee Mornings around the town.
